Fire & Ice Facial

Experience the Ultimate Hollywood Glow with Our Fire & Ice Facial, The Calla Clinic in Derbyshire

The Fire & Ice Facial by iS Clinical is a renowned, results-driven treatment designed to resurface and rejuvenate the skin, providing an immediate glow. Known as the “Red Carpet Facial,” it’s a Hollywood favourite due to its ability to deliver instantly smooth, radiant skin with zero downtime.

The treatment derived its name after two important steps: the “Fire” step—a warm, intensive resurfacing mask featuring powerful ingredients like glycolic acid, citric acid, and retinol. This mask exfoliates dead skin cells, boosts cell turnover, and smooths texture. Next comes the “Ice” step—a cooling, hydrating mask infused with hyaluronic acid, aloe vera, and green tea extracts to calm, soothe, and hydrate the skin. The result is a refined, radiant complexion, with improved texture, clarity, and a natural glow.

After the treatment masks in the Fire & Ice Facial a series of specialized serums are applied to nourish,
protect, and enhance skin recovery. These serums often include hydrating hyaluronic acid to deeply
moisturize and plump, antioxidant-rich vitamins like C and E to protect against environmental stressors,
and soothing botanical extracts to calm any residual redness.

Additionally, peptides may be used to
support collagen production, leaving the skin radiant, smooth, and visibly refreshed. These serums lock
in moisture and amplify the facial’s rejuvenating effects, ensuring a long-lasting glow.
This facial treatment is so effective because it combines powerful exfoliation with deep hydration to
achieve instant, visible results.

What skin concerns can the Fire & Ice Facial address?

The Fire & Ice facial is gentle enough for most skin types whilst effectively treating a range of skin
concerns, including:

  • Acne
  • Pigmentation
  • Large pores
  • Dull, dehydrated skin
  • Aged/photodamaged skin
  • Pregnancy related skin concerns (pregnancy & breast-feeding safe)

FAQs

The Fire & Ice Facial can be performed as a one-off treatment for a much-needed boost, but for best
results we recommend the Fire & Ice facial once every 4-6 weeks to support the health of your skin and
stimulate new skin cells. If you wish to achieve the healthiest skin possible, we advise using medical
grade skincare to support and protect your skin daily, alongside the in-clinic treatments. Consider your
skincare & facials as a lifestyle choice, investing to take care of your skin in the long-term.

The Fire & Ice Facial is suitable for almost all skin types- if you have rosacea or very sensitive skin, we
may recommend an alternative facial or to start topical skincare products first, before having a Fire & Ice

Facial to develop your skin resilience.

The Fire & Ice facial is safe in pregnancy & breast-feeding, which means we can help tackle those
hormonal skin concerns that can be triggered in pregnancy and post-partum. We can make any
necessary modifications to your treatment to ensure you are comfortable and able to relax.

We recommend stopping retinol, AHA’s (glycolic acid, lactic acid) & BHA’s for at least 72 hours prior to
your facial. If you are using a strong, prescription retinol cream called tretinoin this should be stopped 7
days prior to the facial to ensure your skin is not over exfoliated and irritated. If you have any questions
about which skincare products you need to stop before your treatment, please get in touch and a
member of our friendly team will happily advise.

The Fire & Ice Facial is a very safe treatment with minimal risks- if you have been using very strong
skincare products that are not withheld prior to treatment you may experience mild irritation after the
facial due to increased exfoliation, but this will heal and calm over a few days with hydration and good
barrier function support. We advise you wear a daily SPF after the facial (and should do everyday
anyway as part of your skincare routine).
