Anti-wrinkle treatment involves tiny injections of medication into your skin to help soften fine lines and prevent wrinkles from becoming deeper. This will leave you with smoother skin and help you look refreshed, whilst still looking natural.

This treatment uses a prescription only medication, which means it should only be performed by a qualified medical professional such as a doctor or nurse. At The Calla Clinic all our anti-wrinkle treatments are performed by either Nurse Cheryl or Dr Harriett, who are both very experienced with this treatment.

The medication helps to relax targeted facial muscles, which in turn smooths your skin. We may recommend this treatment in combination with other treatments to achieve best results depending on your area of concern.

How long does Anti-wrinkle treatment last?

Anti-wrinkle treatment usually lasts 12-14 weeks. This is because the medication is metabolised by your body and completely wears off. Therefore, we recommend treatment every 3-4 months.

Will I see results immediately?

After treatment it will take several days for the medication to start working and you will see your full results by two weeks.

Are anti-wrinkle injections safe?

Yes, anti-wrinkle injections have been used safely for over 20 years. The medication has also been used by doctors to treat other medical problems for much longer than this. When performed by an appropriately qualified medical professional this treatment is safe. The risks and possible side effects of the treatment are always thoroughly discussed at your consultation to help you decide if this treatment is right for you.

Will I look frozen or unnatural?

We always ensure our patients look natural. We believe in helping you look and feel refreshed but still always like you! Our aim is for a treatment result that gives subtle, yet impactful results that leave you feeling confident. Anti-wrinkle treatment will not completely freeze your facial expressions, it simply helps to soften these movements to help smooth your skin. You will still be able to laugh, smile, frown and pull any other face you wish after treatment.

We recommend you book a consultation to find out whether this is the right treatment for you. During your consultation Nurse Cheryl or Dr Harriett will talk to you about your concerns and create a bespoke treatment plan. This also gives you the opportunity to ask any questions and find out all the information you need.
