Calla Clinic

Morpheus8

Transform your skin with Morpheus8, in Derbyshire

We were the first clinic to offer the Morpheus 8 treatment in Derbyshire several years ago and have a high level of understanding about how this treatment can be used to improve your skin. Morpheus is an RF-microneedling treatment which delivers precision subdermal heating through tiny pins which pierce the surface of your skin, stimulating your skin’s natural collagen and elastin production.

Morpheus8 has been clinically proven to deliver fractional radiofrequency energy deep into the dermis meaning it can improve firmness and elasticity, improve scarring and transform skin texture.

Dr Harriett has spoken on behalf of Inmode, at the Aesthetic Medicine Live Conference in Manchester about her clinical experience in combining Morpheus 8 with other treatments to achieve the best results for your skin. Our wealth of experience with this device means we can create the best treatment plan for you to achieve the best results.

At The Calla Clinic, we’ve built a respected reputation for optimising the effects of Morpheus 8 RF-microneedling and understand how this treatment can be utilised to achieve the best results.

Morpheus8 vs Morpheus8 Resurfacing

There are two types of Morpheus8 treatments- they use exactly the same device and technology, the main difference between Morpheus8 and Morpheus8 Resurfacing is the depth of treatment and what they target:

Morpheus8: Targets deeper layers of the skin to tighten, lift, and contour areas like the face and neck. It’s great for reducing wrinkles and sagging skin.

Morpheus8 Resurfacing: Focuses on the surface of the skin to improve texture, pores, reduce fine lines, acne scars, and uneven tone.

In short, Morpheus8 tightens deeper layers, while Morpheus8 Resurfacing smooths the outer skin. The best option for you will be advised during your consultation.

Morpheus8 is a thoroughly safe and clinically validated treatment. It has been FDA-approved, which means it has met the stringent safety standards required for the US healthcare market. It also boasts several safety features for your comfort and security, and we’re pleased to have the unit in our practice.

Morpheus8 is a safe and effective skin treatment when performed by qualified professionals, but like any procedure, it carries some risks. These may include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, or, in rare cases, infection or scarring. Choosing an experienced provider like The Calla Clinic who understands this treatment and provides thorough aftercare is important in minimising these risks. We have an excellent safety profile in performing this treatment and have the skill set to manage any problems should they occur.

The Morpheus 8 is a minimally invasive procedure with a quick recovery time. Following your Morpheus 8 treatment your skin will feel warm and appear red. This usually settles within 24 hours.

Over the next few days, you may notice the formation of small pinpoint scabs and a visible pinhole pattern on the skin where the treatment has pierced the surface. This is completely normal and should heal within one week. Occasionally small bruises can develop at the site of treatment and will gradually heel over the week.

We advise you to keep your skin clean and use an appropriate cleanser twice daily. We will also provide an aftercare balm for you to apply twice daily after cleansing. It is important that you apply a broad range SPF daily and avoid excessive exposure to UV light (no sunbathing and no sunbeds). We also advise for the first 24 hours to avoid applying make-up, unless it is a suitable post-procedure foundation such as oxygenetix; this is important to reduce the risk of infection as there will be multiple tiny open wounds where your skin has been pierced by the micro-pins.

Rest assured that during your recovery should any problems or concerns arise we are available 24/7 to provide advice and review your skin if we feel this is needed.

The Morpheus8 treatment is not painful when performed using anaesthetic. We ensure you remain comfortable throughout your Morpheus8 treatment by using a numbing cream and in some cases a local anaesthetic-don’t worry, you won’t be ‘- going under’ this just involves tiny injections into the skin to ensure you don’t feel anything. The treatment process and anaesthetic will be discussed with you during your consultation. Rest assured your comfort is our priority and we do everything we can to make your treatment experience positive and enjoyable.
