Thread Lift
Cog threads to lift sagging skin, in Derbyshire.
Thread lifts are a non-surgical procedure designed to lift and reposition lose, sagging skin and soft tissue.
The treatment is minimally invasive and creates an instant result, with limited downtime.
During the treatment, threads with tiny barbs (cogs) are inserted beneath the skin, instantly lifting sagging skin and stimulating long-term collagen production.

FAQs
What ares can be treated with a thread lift?
At The Calla Clinic we only offer Cog Thread Lifts, which treat the face and jawline. We have chosen to only offer Cogs Threads and treat limited areas as these are most effective and give the best results.
Areas we do not treat include:
- Brows
- Neck
- Body
Are thread lifts safe?
Your safety is always our priority. Our thread lifts are performed in a CQC registered clinic, by a qualified medical professional using medical-grade threads. All medical procedures carry risks, but these will always be thoroughly discussed during your consultation. This information is explained to help you make an informed decision about a treatment.
What are threads made of?
We use threads made from either PDO or PLLA. Both of these materials are biocompatible and have a very good long-standing safety profile. These biodegradable ingredients stimulate collagen.
What happens to the threads after treatment?
The threads will stay under your skin and the tissue is lifted by the small cogs along the length of the thread. Over a period of 12-18 months, the PDO or PLLA material stimulates collagen and is gradually broken down by your body. Your body uses a natural reaction called hydrolysis to convert the thread material into carbon dioxide and water. This is safely eliminated from your tissues.
What is the downtime?
After treatment there will be mild swelling, pain and bruising. This will gradually improve over two weeks.
The treated area will feel tight for 2-3 weeks until the swelling has settled.
How much is a thread lift?
The price of treatment will depend on the number and type of threads used. Treatment cost starts from £1800.
Is there anything I should avoid after treatment?
After treatment we advise:
- No make-up for at least 48 hours.
- No vigorous exercise for two weeks.
- Avoid sleeping on your face. We recommend sleeping on your back, propped up with two pillows to a 30-45 degree angle for 1-2 weeks.
- No alcohol for two weeks.
- Avoid extremes in temperature e.g. sauna or jacuzzi for two weeks.

Thank youPosted on Sally2023-12-02 Have been having various treatments by Cheryl for over 15 years and she is the best and believe me I’m a challenge! She is a perfectionist and can’t recommend her highly enough, I’ve had some terrible experiences beforehand and she has worked marvels. Cheryl never stops learning of the the latest advanced treatments at the forefront of her field and you can be rest assured you get the best and why people but there faith in charlatans out there offering cheap treatments with minimal training is baffling to me so I say to you anyone out there if you want the best then ‘The Calla Clinic’ is it and if I could rate it more stars I would.
